A free daily word puzzle — a new challenge every day.

Wordabix is a daily word puzzle that challenges you to find a hidden five-letter word by scrolling columns of letters into place. Each day brings a fresh puzzle with three rounds of increasing difficulty. Can you solve all three?

How to Play

The game board shows five vertical columns, each containing a list of letters. Your goal is to scroll each column up or down so that the active row spells out the hidden word.

Scroll a column up or down to cycle through its letters.
Slide a column left or right to swap its position with a neighbouring column.
When you think you have the word, press SUBMIT.
Each wrong answer reveals a hint letter highlighted in blue within one of the columns.
You have 5 attempts per round.

The Three Rounds

Round 1 — Two green clue words shown Two of the columns are highlighted in green. These clue words share a connection with the hidden answer — use them to work out what the mystery word might be.

Round 2 — One green clue shown, one hidden Only one column is highlighted green. A second clue word is present but blends in with the rest — you'll need to think harder about which columns might be clues.

Round 3 — One hidden clue, no green columns No columns are highlighted. One clue word is hidden among the others with no visual hint. This is the toughest round — rely on your earlier clues and lateral thinking to crack the final word.

Clue Words

The green columns are clue words — they each share a meaningful connection with the hidden answer. The connection might be thematic, associative, or conceptual. For example, if the hidden word is MAPLE, a clue might be CANADA or SYRUP.

In rounds where clue columns aren't highlighted, look for words that seem to relate to each other — that's your signal.

Maximum score is 15 points across all three rounds. Your results are saved locally so you can track your streak and history — no account needed.
